Uconn vs Notre Dame

Postby arncoem » Thu Apr 08, 2010 9:40 pm

Uconn 21
Notre Dame 14

The Huskies won their home opener by a TD over The Fighting Irish.
Neither team looked steller but the Huskies came away w/ the W after knocking ball down while ND tossed it up to force OT from the 50 yard line as time expired.

QB Rob Reale hit WR Sterling Rice 2x, each for a TD and RB Jon Bobbit had 72yards rushing on 11 carries for the Huskeis other score.

Uconn's D played well as they sacked the opposing QB 3x and intercepted him 1x
Sophmore DL Hootie Hogan
Freshman DL Adam Lawton,
& Sophmore LB Shmeckle Pecker - each w/ their 1st sacks of the season
and JR LB Ray Brooks recorded the 1st interception of his college career

GG Tadaos, GL rest of the season - VERY nice kickoff return for a TD too BTW- made the Huskies D look like a Pee Wee football squad on that return!

The Uconn Huskies are now 2-0 on the season and up next have 1-0 Georgia Bulldogs in GEorgia for a TOUGH road game that will for sure test the Huskies toughness & see if their 2-0 start is just a fluke or if this team is for real.
