The Huskies offense started slow behind their ALL American QB Rob Reale -he was 0 for 4 to start the game but finished strong 3 for 4 w/ all 3 of his completions being touchdown passes.

Junior RB Jon Bobbit picked up the slack when QB Reale needed some help as Bobbit gave it to him running for 169 yards on 13 carries and also had a short catch out of the backfield that he took to the house for 6 points 30 yards later.
ALL American stud WR Sterling Rice had 2 catches and 1 TD - A quiet day in terms of what Rice is capable of but contributed to his team's succcess none the less.

On the first drive Pitt had a sick run of about 70 yards that the RB coughed it up for a fumble on the Uconn 5 yard line for a turnover. This was the heartbreaker of the game that Pitt had a hard time forgetting about.
Uconn repsonded after that w/ a long TD run by Jon Bobbit.
Uconn tossed up a JJ to WR Rice w/ no time left in the first half which was a garbage JJ for TD but made the score 14-7 w/ Uconn getting the ball 2nd half.
The 2nd half was highlighted by Pitt's kickoff return for a TD then UConn's Brent Novacek looked like he was going to follow suit w/ his own but was tripped up at the Panther's 30 yard line just short of the diving drone's tackle range.

The Huskies kept their 7 point lead all game and then scored another to make it a 2 possession game w/ 40 seconds left in the game & secure the victory, only thhe 2nd vs Pitt in 8 games.

GG Bigflu, GL rest of the season as this year's ECC is going to be a showdown as each team has a shot of winning each game and going to a bowl.

The Uconn Huskies are now 6-0 on the season and have a long week of films ahead of them to prepare for another ECC showdown, next week vs The Louisville Cardinals.
