Iowa at Tennessee-- The Annual T-Hawk Game

Postby slim_jimmy7 » Fri Jan 14, 2011 4:35 am

Tennessee 17-14 over Iowa

The T-Hawk Trophy stays in Knoxville Tennessee as the Volunteers hold off disaster at Neyland Stadium on Thursday night. The first half started out with a couple of heavy blows as Tennessee was able to stop the big swinging dick Brandon Wegher on three straight runs. Tennessee and the Volunteer offense took the field for the first time only to see there starting Running Back David Oku get injured on a first down run. The Vols still drove down the field and got a red zone field goal. Iowa answered with a 5 play TD drive that culminated in a TD pass to Colin Sandeman. First half ended 7-3 Iowa.

Second half started worse than the First half for Tennessee as Claude Gehrig got injured on the kick return and Jeff Cottam fumbled the rock right into the hands of Mike Daniels who ran it in for the defensive TD. Lamaison was smashed by Daniels and TCS officials may be looking into the hit. Coach Slim called a team timeout to regroup the offense and never looked back. Lamaison played lights out as he only missed one pass from there on out. He threw a bomb to captain Gerald Jones for a TD, which was followed by a Vander Berg INT to Willie Hartman. Three plays later Lamaison through Antrel Dillon in stride as he beat the coverage.

Defensive stops reigned for the rest of the game as the big swinging dick Brandon Wegher, failed on a 4th and 15 deep in there own territory. Counting back to last season this is 3 straight wins for the Rocky Top Nation.

Tennessee carried Lamaison off the field with this trophy in his hand:

Video is uploaded here:

Gonna try something different here this season. No more celebration cutscenes and a little shorter. I also will try and do more quality games, not any game to fit it in for the week.

Enjoy!
