Week 10: Illinois Fighting Illini 21 @ Ohio State 27/OT

Postby Agent25Cent » Sun Nov 20, 2005 11:36 pm

Hella game to end the reg season. OSU scores, ILL answers right back with the unstoppable Eb Halsey. Think it was 14 -14 at half. Illinois scores late on another Halsey deep one, then picks off OSUs Troy Smith on the ensuing. 21-14 ILL, late 4th. Illinois stalls and is forced to punt at about the 2 min mark, and OSU gets 2 big runs off Antonio Pittman. Troy Smith hits a sliding cc to Roy Hall at the 1 with seconds left, and Troy runs it in and ties the game at 21-21 forcing OT. OT Illinois receives the kick, but the OSU D steps up with 2 straight Hasley stops, and the big fumble recovery on the called pass on 3rd, rumbling into the endzone for the W. GG TR. I just kept plugging

OSU is 8-2 and I believe I garnered myself a bowl appearence somewhere:)

GG Agent. Congratz on your Big 4 title.

Man the ironic thing about this is the guy who ran the touchdown after the fumble was none other than Cyrus Garrett who I cut this offseason.

Dissapointing end to EB's senior season but he leaves Illinois holding a ton of TCS records. No bowl for the Illini this season but we will be back plugging away with the youngest team in the nation next season.

GL in your Bowl Agent.

Potentially you could go to the National Title game if the Hurricanes lose their remaining game. Wow, pretty impressive after missing a bowl last season. Congrats
