2005 Vikings Preview

Postby drake » Wed May 18, 2016 10:52 pm

McNabb will again captain the Vikings O, looking to improve upon his 17-17 TD/INT ratio (although considering the 0td-7int start, it wasn't a bad finish). Enis comes over from the Giants in a deal that sent long time Vikings stud, Ty Law to NY. He will be the featured back, though McGahee will still play a big part on carries, and dump off passes. Bryant got dealt to SD, and in his place a faster and better hands man (althrough older) in Coles will be the WR1. Stallworth will move to WR2 and Franks will still anchor the TE spot. OL still fairly strong, despite trading away Andrews to land a younger Nick Barnett from the Falcons.

Front 3 on D will be better than last season, with sack leader Russell at NT. Clemens, the Vikes lone gainer (to 69hp) in the offseason also looking to poke some holes in lines. LB core a bit slower than last season with the departure of Simmons and Urlacher, though younger and bit harder hitting (with rookie Morrison and the aforementioned Barnett.) Law, as mentioned is gone from the secondary, and in his place is veteran Patrick Surtain. Atogwe won the starting job against Robinson, though Dunta will be kept in the Vikes back pocket for future consideration. After getting "aged" out of his gain, Archuleta will look to top the "B" DB leaderboard once more. The leagues best placekicker, Elam, is back for another season at the ripe age of 35.
I feel like a prize asshole, no one even mentions my casserole

Luckily we didn't meet in the playoffs.. for me that is. this team owns SEA in the franchise history under Drake rule. was the #1division rivalry for a long time in D/C tier vs Phish. Looking forward to tightening the margin of blowout this season in our double header bud. McNabb always shows up to play against the team that traded him away. GL in 05
