Holy Cross Crusaders - 28
Texas Tech Red Raiders - 14

Holy Cross improves its all time mark against TTU to 6-0 with another victory in week 5 of season 9.

Holy Cross got a break on the first offensive play of the game. TTU QB Tyrone Clapton was sacked on the first play and he fumbled the football. H.C's Nathan Porcaro picked it up for a 7-0 score.

Texas Tech mounted a good drive, running the ball well with Peter Cordova. He eventually scored the first TD for TTU to tie the game at 7-7.

Holy Cross finally gets the ball on offense and they don't disappoint. QB Santiago Cobb has a good drive running and passing and eventually hands it off to RB Daryl Abelard for his only carry, which is a TD, as he stretches out to the goalline. 14-7 H.C.

TTU moves into FG range, but the Crusaders defense moves the TTU offense to a 4th and 36 and out of FG range. They go for it, and H.C gets the ball on downs. Holy Cross moves into FG range, but the FG attempt is blocked at the end of the half.

Second half, Holy Cross gets the ball and mounts a good drive with some passes to WR Jared Smith. Smith eventually scores the TD pass past a diving TTU DB. 21-7 Crusaders.

4th quarter, TTU moves the ball slowly. They eventually punch it in with 4 minutes left on a short pass to RB Jared Bryan after Cordova went down with an injury. 21-14 Crusaders.

Crusaders put in backup QB Bryce Mays. He eats up some clock with his legs, but eventually it his arm that throws it to WR Dusty Cooley for his only catch of the game, a TD catch, as the Crusaders seal the deal in the final seconds with a 28-14 victory.
