You'll want to set it up just as you did nestopia 1.41

I'm on a MAC so it's not letting me set up anything. A screen keeps coming up saying it can't run in dos mode and the document is just filled with stuff I can't even read. Guess I'm sticking with Nestopia.

It's compiled for windows...you'll be hard pressed to find anyone here running anything on a MAC, unfortunately. Ask bruddog for the source and you may be able to compile it for mac, but that'd be a headache and a half..

Your best bet is to use something like this to run windows on your mac. It will cost money eventually though. Someone here could probably walk you through what to do.

I would have no clue how to compile/port that source code for mac and am not going to even try.

With a generation of Mac users coming through the pike, it'd be nice to be able to find a way to connect users. Whether mac to mac or pc to mac. I'm a mac guy who uses my office pc to play.

Newb to online play here! been on the circuit for a few weeks learning that growing up with a sister and not brother makes me behind a lot of the experienced humanvshuman guys....But im learning fast and have played TSB off and on since I got it in 1992. I've been in online simulator leagues for football and hockey for 10+ years now so think I'll be good at the league stuff, need to catchup on versus play.

I'm intrested in getting into leagues eventually, want to get some more experience. Also I mainly work nights on the west coast. So basically can play most games in the morning or late night, some afternoon times on Monday and Tuesdays & maybe most weekends. Is it pretty easy to get all your league games in? Or would my graveyard-ish schedule make me a bad candidate for league games?

so if u see me on aim (jfagundes04) and im not responding in the mid afternoon im prolly asleep or at work, dont mean to ignore people :)

thanks to all the forums and various people in the TSB community, so great to see how many people have loved this game for so long.

welcome to online tecmo!

As far as your schedule, i think it would just depend on the pace of the league and when people in said league are usually online.

A general rule of thumb is weeknights in the evening HOWEVER a lot of guys get games in later at night, in the morning, and afternoons, so it really just depends.

Some leagues move faster and others slower so that is another thing to consider. What I would do is when you are ready look at the various leagues in tecmo see which one(s) you like and talk to some guys in those leagues and see what they think.

I'm a Mac user, and an avid NES Tecmo Super Bowl player.

Can I play online in Tecmo Players Circuit (or anywhere else, against good competition)? Please let me know -- I'm ready to take some of y'all down!!

Hello everyone,

I am new here and just wanted to say hello to everyone. I recently watched the NFL film on the tournament of TSB and it brought back a lot of nostalgic feelings of my childhood and playing the game on NES constantly. Later on I played it on Sega Genesis with a friend pretty hardcore but haven't played since then. I am very rusty at the game and would love to play someone similar for a couple games to refresh my memory and get back up to par. I am 29 years old and live in Baltimore, Maryland. I am a huge Ravens fan. If anyone is interested in playing some games please let me know!

Just joined. I keep getting 404 errors when I click on the TPC links. Did a site go down?

Hello,

Am I crazy or is the registration button missing from the home page?

I just found the site and am following the Getting Started how-to, but I can' find any way to register!

I"m a long-time TSB player on my SNES, so I'm quite excited to get started online!

Thanks,
Todd

Thanks for pointing that out!

I'll get that put in a more obvious place on the site.

Hi, another newbie question. What does the "Game Confirmation Emails" option on the profile page does? It toggles on or off.

Thanks,
Todd

Hi, I'm new here and looking to start playing. Two problems:

I downloaded and loaded brutopia. I'm running the nestopia_anticheat_v2 file. The game starts up and I can load the ROM no problem... The issue I'm having is if I set up the autofire buttons on the joystick, they still work. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Second issue is that I have my account set up on tecmoplayers.com, I'm set up as "challenge me". I have my AIM ID set up and I show up under the players tab with my aim icon highlighted, but don't show up under the challenge table.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I started playing online, I had no idea this was even on here and that people could do this!

I did everything in the beginners for dummies post (http://tecmobowl.org/topic/53066-guide- ... r-dummies/) which has taken me forever to complete after reading and re-reading and downloading and re-downloading now I'm having trouble finding a game. I've played a few games on here already but I don't have all day to devote to finding partners to play with. I've found a few people through AIM but mostly they never reply, I don't know if that's because they don't know me or some other reason but it's frustrating. Is there a better way to find people to play with?

Welcome sillybizz. Try looking at the recent games played list on www.tecmoplayers.com to see who is more active. Also post in here, like you did, and guys should hit you up too. Also look at the hipchat link on TPC and provide the info requested to get access to that. Also there are leagues out there if that may interest you that more guys play in. I'd try out CTL, WTFG, or any league on here or over at tecmobowl.org
