sea 41 cin 7

Postby Opus » Sat Feb 14, 2009 12:03 am

Bengals score first to go up 7-0 and the Hawks rattle of 41 unanswered points to win. Campbell tossed 6 TDs to lead the way.

Pretty sad for me and everyone else who gets their teams whipped stat wise by the teams that play me lol.

Oh well. There's not much you can do when 2-3 players are open on every pass play (exaggeration? I believe 16/19 attempts proves not). Not even Trufant can stop that. I also fumbled 3 times. My returner has fumbled just about every game. Can I switch him out? lol.

At least my run game is still good. I tried to throw a bunch this game but Opus was really good at choosing my plays and preventing me from passing entirely whether he ran a LB or DB no one was open. :( Cromartie is a beast that is so fast he can stop anything. Very scary.

I'm starting to really hate MAN tecmo lol. This would never happen in COA! Maybe you guys should find someone that can actually play Tecmo.

One of my DBs has 25 MS... does that have ANYTHING to do with it? And one of my Linebackers has 69 Int??? WTF? Who designed this defense?

:( I am so sad right now.

That 69PI on defense for the LB has to be a mistake. I don't remember rating it that way, and he doesn't have the int stats to back it up, so luck you!

Well 69PI on a LB is pretty useless unless you use him (that being said, I should have looked closer at my team) so (and that being said, I plan on using him a lot in the future) yeah. Also useless when everyone is still open :( and you lose 41 - 7.

Luck off, Jman.

I would still use Trufant. Even if guys are open, you can get to most of them...with that fast of a DB you should be able to cover sideline2sideline on most passes...if they are covered deep especially.

Oh you would think. ;) maybe next time I'll document each play so I can see the TRUTH. In my head it looks like this:

Trufant fades back to cover WR#2. RB, RB#2 and TE are un-covered (this could be very true as Witten had 91 yards, almost the same as Moss yet he goes a lot shorter, so he must have been open a lot then ran with it). Opus makes an easy pass to one of them.

lol but I'm sure that's not how it happend EVERY play. Just giving an example of how helpless I felt the entire game.
