Last season the New Look Huskies, after moving from Miami Fla got embarrassed in Kansas 28 - 7 so had this game circled on their calenders an entire year w/ redemption on their minds.

Was the Game of the Week and it lived up to the hype!

Opening kickoff Kansas State drove the field and scored pretty easily, 7-0 K State.

Huskies put together a nice drive of their own mixing it up w/ passes and runs, 7-7.

Next posession after the kickoff The Huskies D step the F up and forced K State to punt while they were 4th and 16 on the 3 yard line.

Huskies had a nice drive but while in the redzone the Wildcats D stepped up and held them to a FG. 10-7 Uconn w/ 1.45 left in the half.

Uconn kicked an onside by accident and gave them great field position w/ 1.20 left in the half.. KS settled for a FG before halftime after solid Huskies "D" - 10 - 10 tie game going into the intermission

Uconn got the ball second half and was able to score on this possession on a VERY long drive. 17-10

KS fumbled the ball next posession and Huskies took over around midfield. COuldn't do anything w/ the ball and missed a FG turning the ball over on the 35 yard line. KS couldn't do anything w/ their posession either and turned it over on downs - now in the 4th quarter.

4th Q late Uconn tossed an int and gave the ball over w/ 1.15 left in the game. 3 plays later The Huskies Defensive unit showed why they are ranked in the top 5 of every defensive category by notching a sack in the endzone for the safety.. 19 - 10 Huskies for the game.

Huskies "D" gave up 117 yards, opposed to their offense getting 254 on the Wildcats "D"
Defense wins games and the entire defensive squad gets the game ball this week from the Huskies Head Coach Randy Edsall.

Great game KCCHIEFS - very intense game for both of us!

Huskies now 3-2 on the season
