Postby sstruck2 » Sun Sep 07, 2008 10:16 pm

Nebraska 28
Georgia 7

Georgia couldn't hang on to the ball and Nebraska notched their first win in the sstruck era.

On the first drive, Georgia's RB Valens was injured and the Bulldogs fumbled on their own 24.

Huskers failed to convert and turned over on downs.

Bulldogs followed suit and turned over on downs as well.

This time Nebraska turned the short field into a score as Lucky ran for the score, NEB 7 UGA 0.

Georgia dropped the ensuing kickoff and the Huskers recovered at the 3.

Lucky again found the endzone, NEB 14 UGA 0.

Bulldogs respond with a long pass and run to Hester who is dragged down at the 7 and score with a TD pass to Grimes, NEB 14 UGA 7.

Nebraska runs the kickoff return out of bounds as the half expires.

Half, NEB 14 UGA 7.

Huskers start the second half with the drive of the game - a long drive ending in a TD pass to their fullback, Lawson, NEB 21 UGA 7.

Georgia looks to move the ball on the next drive, but Symons fumbles on a run and Nebraska's Wortman picks it up and takes it to the house, NEB 28 UGA 7.

The Bulldogs drive it down the field and again loose the ball on a fumble in the redzone.

Nebraska goes conservative and 3 and out.

Georgia goes 3 and out.

Nebraska kills the clock.

End of game, NEB 28 UGA 7.

Tough game TDO... impossible to win with 4 fumbles... better luck the rest of the season.
