PLEASE READ: Setting up Games, Stat Tracking and Videos

Postby Mid90sMatt » Wed Feb 25, 2009 6:00 pm

Here are the steps you need to go through every week.

Please read below for all the rules pertaining to setting up matches and tracking stats. This is an example of Week 1.

1. Under the Schdule, scroll down to the schedule and to week 1 to see who you play. If they're human go to step 2, if they're CPU skip to step 9. You can figure this out by looking at the standings.

2. Send a private message and AIM to the person you need to play and schedule a date for your game(s).

3. Download the week 1 ROM from the forum.

4. If both players have the ROM, one must connect to the other then go into the "season mode." Make sure the teams you will be playing as are set to COA while all other teams are set to skp. Under "schedule", hit the "X" (A on keyboard) and select "auto skip" then "week 1". Go to back out and select "game start".

5. Play your game against your opponent. Record by hand, fumbles, who fumbled whether or not it was recovered or lost and injuries if you are defense and fumbles recovered/fumbles lost, SAFETIES and injuries (AND WHAT QUARTER INJURED) if you're offense. You must also record the weather.

6. At the end of the game, take a screen shot of the final screen and save it in paint or something. The results of the game are the most important statistic as it affects your standings and playoff seeding. The rest really only affects how "well" your players do.

7. After taking a screen shot, the winner will save state the game (using F2) DURING THE FINAL GAME SCREEN (before the menu) and send it to me. Then, go into the forums under season 2 recaps week 1 and post the results of the game with the subject being: P1 Team/COA: Score P2 Team/COA: Score.

Please leave a short re-cap of what happened, and all the stats from the "screen shot" of the final screen of the game (you could just post the image) as well as fumbles and injuries AND WEATHER.

8. If for any reason you can't finish your game by week's end, contact your opponent and me. If you want a break from the JCL your games will be played by a CPU until your return. If you quit or do not inform me that you will be missing game(s) your spot will be given to another COA or CPU permanently.

9. I you are playing a CPU. You are responsible for tracking fumbles for both teams, injuries, weather and the forum post.

10. If for any reason your game gets d/c, frozen or reset, you must REPLAY THE GAME. This has never happened in the JCL so this is a very serious offense.

11. The team that was winning before the d/c may choose to receive points equal to their advantage before the d/c for the next game (if they were winning 21 - 7 they may start the replayed game 14 - 0). These points will not be recorded in the teams/JCL stats but will be used to decide the winner. The stats for the new game will be the official stats for the game.

They may declare these points before or after the game but not after the forum post. If after adding the points, the game would result in OT (equal points at the end of the 4th quarter), then the game is a tie. If the game goes into OT, the coach with bonus points gets the win but finish the game and and save stat obviously.

I just realized you have to write down if either team got safeties because the game doesn't keep track.
