The Huskies won their first game of the season over previously undefeated Virgina.
The game was much closer than thefinal verdict as we traded scores throughout and was tied at 21 w/ 4 minutes left.
Uconn JR RB Shawki Taliban had a career best game w/ 10 carries for 180 yards and 4TDS.
He ran the ball in for the go ahead TD to make it 28-21 and then Virginia marched down the field trying to tie it up but came up short at the Uconn 10 yard line while trying to get the first down on a QB keeper.
The Huskies took over on downs and used up all but 1:30 on the clock after they scored again via another Taliban TD run to make it 35-21.Viriginia tried to get in the endzone again and attempt an onside but the Huskies D didn't allow a 1st down and was a turnover on downs w/ 10 seconds left to end the game.

QB Rob Reale was 4/8 passing w/ 176 yards and 1TD, BUT started out 4/5 so was an impressive game for him if don't take the last 3 passes that weren't completions.

GG JR, GL Rest of your season.

The Huskies are now 1-2 on the season and have a week 3 makeup game w/ Alabama that was re scheduled due to inclement weather last week. The Huskies look to build some momentum off of this victory vs The Cavaliers as they were a VERY tough opponent.
